Scope and Content
This collection includes biographical material, papers and correspondence, printed articles, and Dr. Gapp's 1934 Princeton University doctoral dissertation, "Famine in the Roman world."

This collection of Dr. Gapp's personal papers was accessioned on March 18, 1996. The original finding aid was written by Douglas Denné, under the direction of William O. Harris, Archivist. The finding aid was edited in February of 2009 by Sarah Seraphin. The bulk of the collection consists of Dr. Gapp's papers while at Princeton University. Most of Dr. Gapp's professional papers from his career at Princeton Seminary are presently stored with other archival papers of the Seminary Libraries. These papers are only partially inventoried. Refer to Special Collections reference staff for more information.
There are no special restrictions to access of this collection. It may be examined by library patrons under the normal rules and conditions of the Special Collections.
