Scope and Content
This collection consists of three volumes of diary notes, which Bunting produced while a student at the Seminary:
- Volume I (September 19, 1849 through May 1850);
- Volume II (May 13, 1850 through September 25, 1850); and
- Volume III (April 25, 1851 through May 18, 1852).
The collection also consists of biographical and historical manuscript materials.
Bunting, Robert Franklin, 1828-1891--Diaries.
Princeton Theological Seminary--Students--Diaries.
Princeton Theological Seminary. Library. Manuscript collections.
These journals were given to the Seminary sometime prior to June 14, 1951, when they were marked with the library's dated stamp. For many years these volumes were maintained as part of the Seminary's "Alumni Alcove" collection. They were organized as a manuscript collection in October of 1996. Two manuscript folders were added to the collection in October 2013.
There are no special restrictions to access of this collection. It may be examined by library patrons under the normal rules and conditions of Special Collections.
