Biographical Information

Dr. Armstrong was awarded the Doctor of Divinity degree (honorary) in 1915. He was the author of numerous scholarly articles and pamphlets. In addition to his duties at the Seminary, Dr. Armstrong also served as a Vice-President of the Bank of Princeton for many years. Dr. Armstrong was a friend and ally of Dr. Machen in the "Re-Organization" controversy at the Seminary in the 1920s.

Processing Information

The William Park Armstrong papers were first organized as a part of the Alumni Alcove collection of the Seminary library. In March of 1996 these lecture notes were reorganized as a manuscript collection of the Seminary Archives. At that time several items were added to the collection, including the biographical materials, correspondence, and the second set of typescript notes on Apostolic History.

Access

There are no special restrictions to access of this collection. It may be examined by library patrons under the normal rules and conditions of Special Collections.
